there's a farm on my windowsill
We have decided to try a new adventure of the agricultural persuasion. Our windowsill is now the home of zucchini, sweet bell pepper, chile pepper, hot pepper, poblano pepper, sweet basil, pepper pimienta, anaheim pepper, and green pepper plants. Once these puppies flower (...er, if they flower) I get to help pollinate by using a small paintbrush and going flower to flower, I am oddly excited by this fact. I am such a perv.
Report from day 1 and 2: Vegetation has survived a night of cohabitation with two very curious feline beasts!
If all goes well with this, and it looks like we can keep it up in the future, I am even considering setting up our own little mini-compost bin underneath our kitchen sink. Boy howdy!
